so that half of the floor is done. varnish and all. i can't wait to put my furniture there!
i painted the steps a dark brownish greyish color.
i am thinking it needs something on 'em. so i have been investigating stencils and stamps and whatever else i can stick on there to add a little something to em.
this is what they looked like before:
so now that they are just one color, it looks blah :P
i'm heading to the shop later to see what i can find.
i have considered using lace as a stencil and those baroquey floraly stamps...you know what i mean?
i think i like this one...
we'll see...
i might pick up some copper paint, and i still have "the rust" ;)

You could always collage them.
i thought about that. but then i thought about having to try to get all the stuff off later on :P
hehe. i think paint is the easiest. i get bored easy and i can change it.
A woman with the depth of creativity you have deserves a great space like this. Thanks for posting the progress!
ooooooh it's gonna be so cool!
i hope so, quirk!!!!
i just bought stencils, stamps, paint and doilies :P something had better work! lol!
mince. thanks so much. had a rough day and that comment made me smile :D
You are gonna have the neatest most artistic studio around - in awe of yur attention to detail!
Was looking at the baroque flowery stamp pic you pasted and it looks like cork? And then was thinking how some artsy cork tile/cutouts, after some susarto treatment of course, on the steps could also help with some grip ... cos they look like steep steps.
lol! i was trying to take the easy way out, maura!
they didn't have the cork ones. i had to get different ones :/
I think it would nice with pictures of me on them.. :P
No matter what you do to them, they will look amazing!!
i worked on it today but i don't like it :(
more later i guess...
i'm pretty sure i can fix it...
