damaged

this little painting is called "damaged"
it's approximately 5.25" square on a wood panel.
signed (very tiny) on the front. (the watermark is not on the image)

felt is adhered to the back, as well as a sawtooth hanger.
it is ready to hang!!!

i found this little doll in an antique shop. i fell in love with her. she looked so sad and helpless there in the case.
when i asked the woman to open the case so i could have a better look, she said,"oh, i'm afraid her eyes are gone."

i said, "i know. i want her, please."

we're all a little damaged, aren't we?
